Frequently Asked Questions
The MAcc programs are offered at the main campus in Deland, at our Center at Celebration
and on-line.
Deland Campus:
Classes are primarily day time classes offered on weekdays.
They normally meet on a Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday schedule.
Center At Celebration Campus:
Classes meet only on Saturdays and are scheduled from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
They generally meet three Saturdays per month.
On-line Courses:
On-line courses are available on the web 24 hours a day.
The Deland program may be taken part-time, but requires attendance at weekday classes.
The Celebration and on-line programs are specifically designed for working professionals.
Classes are offered to fit your busy schedule and do not interfere with you work day. Both of these programs suspend classes during the accounting busy season.
The DeLand and on-line programs can be completed in one calendar year. The Celebration program takes approximately fifteen and a half months because classes are suspended for three and a half months during the busy season.
You may enter any of the programs throughout the year as new classes begin.
All three programs require a 3.0 minimum GPA and a 500 minimum on the GMAT.
The GMAT is required of all applicants.
You will need to retake the exam and achieve the minimum of 500.
It is not a requirement but you must have met the foundation requirements in business and accounting courses.
You must take the foundation courses at an accredited school either through regular classes or through on-line classes.
You must have the foundation courses before you can be admitted to the program.
The MAcc program will allow you to meet the CPA educational requirements in most states. To become certified you must pass the CPA exam and in many states also meet an experience requirement. The MAcc program will be very helpful in preparing you to take the CPA exam.
Once you application is complete, including receipt of transcripts, GMAT score, letter of recommendation, etc., you will normally receive notification within approximately two weeks.
You may transfer up to six hours of work completed at an accredited university before admission
to the program.
